Brandi Stage Portraiture Charity Photoshoot Recipient Amber Olsen & Her Beautiful Girls

There are photoshoots that just moves your heart and this was one of them! Every year Brandi Stage Portraiture chooses a family or person that is going through or has gone through something really difficult. This year we chose Amber Olsen’s family to gift a photoshoot and portraits to.

When praying about who we should choose to gift a shoot to, Amber kept coming to mind. Amber’s little girl, Willow, has a rare and fatal disease called multiple sulfatase deficiency (MSD). Amber has been an incredible advocate for awareness, research, and a cure for her daughter and other children with MSD around the world. 

We started with Amber and her two oldest and beautiful daughters Kylee and Jenna to pamper with beautiful hair and make-up. I was told that the curls that we put in Amber and Kylee’s hair may not stay! They all have thick beautiful straight hair! I’m happy to say that the curls held!! Whew! 

After the girls were done in make up and hair, we moved on to wardrobe and shooting. Typically when a client first gets in front of my camera they are nervous and unsure of what to do. No worries! I direct them into poses and talk them all the way through it. By the end these girls were pros!!

Towards the end of the shoot, sweet Willow joined us. We knew that we had limited time with her since she is a toddler. It was so sweet to see everyone surround her and get her ready. The family portrait of all the girls is one of my favorites and it was the most emotional…Amber and all her girls. What beauty! What love!

It was such an honor and privilege to photograph this beautiful family! It’s a shoot I’ll never forget.
