I am bold, bright, and full of enthusiastic energy & zest for life!
How did you come to understand your inner beauty?
Beauty is being able to appreciate every ounce of who I am as a being with acceptance and non-judgement. Understanding my beauty is acknowledging my imperfections and finding ways to be thankful for them. I feel my inner beauty & bright energy come out when I’m sharing my passions in life. Inner beauty is having a balance of joy so that even when life knocks me down I can manifest the strength to pick myself back up and feel beautiful again.
I used to struggle to see my beauty due to comparing myself to others and feeling like I wasn’t enough. I have had issues with self worth. I have sought validation from external sources instead of going within to see my inner beauty. I have allowed others to tear me down and make me feel small. I have failed to stand up for myself. I have been afraid to stand tall and proud in fear of someone saying, “Who does she think she is?”
But now I hold my head up proudly and feel comfortable in my own skin. I am unapologetic about my confidence and I stand firm in who I am. I challenge myself to share my personality through social posts, and I am growing into the person I’ve always wanted to be. I’m now my own best friend, cheerleader, motivational coach, and spiritual guide. I walk this journey with more certainty and hope to leave a beautiful legacy behind me for other women to feel proud to shine.
What did the shoot mean to you? What did it feel like to be selected?
It was an honor to be selected for this shoot and blog series! This shoot was a celebration of discovering my self worth and becoming my true authentic self without excuses.
Not only did the shoot remind me of my awesomeness, but it helped me to rediscover my pride in my multi-faceted personality. Brandi and Kasper have a way of encouraging and nurturing the gorgeous goddess you hold within. The inner beauty was brought to the surface as I felt myself transform from the outside in.
The pampering experience of the soft strokes with a makeup brush were so therapeutic. We spoke of my beauty journey of being confident in my skin, and became friends by the end of the session. Kasper’s personality and makeup skills had a way of bringing the diva out in me by creating a beautiful look that matched my bold and versatile style. With shadows and shades accentuating my beauty in ways that reminded me what a touch of color & eyelashes can do for a girl’s inner goddess.
