Christine, tell us about yourself!
I was born and raised in Tennessee and grew up in the rural community of Cross Plains. I was never really popular, but I had lots of friends. I didn’t date, but I always had “guy friends.” I was the “smart girl” that never considered herself pretty. Looking back at old photos, I now see we were all just awkward kids! After graduate school at Auburn University, I accepted a position at Mississippi State University’s Coastal Research and Extension Center in Biloxi. 20 years later, I still call the Gulf Coast home!
What parts of your story can you share to help women to understand their own beauty?
Every woman’s beauty is different. It’s not a woman’s looks that make her beautiful. It’s her confidence, strength, loyalty, and love for herself and others that exude beauty.
I recognized my inner beauty when I found my inner strength. From that strength came confidence, and confidence is beautiful!
What did the shoot mean to you?
I felt so pampered and glamorous! Kasper is an expert at bringing out your best features. I was me, but me with “oomph!” I don’t look at myself as traditionally “beautiful,” but I have a big smile and bright eyes that I think convey my heart! It was so much fun to let go of my insecurities and let my light shine. Brandi knows just how to capture that!
