Tell us about yourself, Christine!

I am a mom of three of God’s most beautiful gifts in the world! My children bring joy and peace into my life and give me a purpose to be a better person and a role model for Christ! I’m also a full time Chemical Engineer working in the oil and gas industry. I have a passion for health and fitness, so in my free time you will find me outside or in the gym. My spiritual gift is evangelism so I have been blessed to be able to share my testimony in person through my mission work at Romanian orphanages!

 

How did you come to understand your inner beauty?

I really didn’t “find myself” until I had children and rekindled my walk with God. I grew up in the church, but I began to stray in college. I was blessed to find a local church who recognized my love for all of God’s children (not just my own) and who inspired me to look deep at what was important in life. I discovered a way to give back and to make a difference for others, and only then did my inner beauty shine through the external hard shell.

 

 

This project is all about inspiring women to see their beauty. What parts of your story can you share to help women to understand their own beauty?

I’m fortunate enough to have a career in which I have a platform to mentor young female engineers in a maternal nature and show them how strong women are and what we are capable of. You can have a career, a family, and a healthy lifestyle.

I also can show love and compassion to the teenage orphans in Romania who have been abandoned by their parents, by helping them develop a relationship with the One who will never leave their side if they accept Him into their hearts. This is where true beauty lies among all of us – not in the outside but what is in your heart.

 

 

Tell us about your experience with the photoshoot.

The photo shoot sparked my curiosity. As a confident female, I loved the mission and I felt this would be a way to inspire other women of the beauty within each of this. When I arrived, I was greeted by Brandi and the makeup/hair artist Brittney, who made me feel so welcomed and comfortable. After I was fully pampered (which felt like a spa day, might I add), Brandi shared the mission with me and how much it meant to her to bring out every women’s inner beauty! Her ability to make me feel beautiful and to truly bring out happiness in her photography was amazing!

Being chosen for anything is like winning the lottery! I immediately felt special and excited to be part of the Bold and Beautiful project! I really didn’t know what the shoot meant to me until I saw the pictures Brandi was able to take – I was glowing, I was so happy and I honestly felt like I am living my best life! We sat and just chatted about what these pictures will mean to me later on, to my kids- like heirlooms. I thought about how I would have loved to have photos of my mother at 34 years old to really see her youthful beauty with a shine that lights up the room! I can’t wait to share these photos with my children when they are my age. I know they will appreciate me taking the time for myself, to capture this time in my life!

I have shared the BBP mission with some of my other friends and mothers, and I can’t wait to see their photos as well. I know this will help them embrace their beauty I see everyday!
