Tell us about yourself, Dallas!
On the surface, I am a 41 year old, business owner and mother of two, but to know me personally, it’s a little different. I am a mother, daughter, sister, dog mom, boss, and friend. I have a huge heart and a true compassion for people. I am the broker/owner of Fidelis Realty Kelly Properties. I love what I do: helping my agents follow their dreams and achieve financial freedom, while assisting my clients with finding the home of their dreams or selling their current home and beginning a new journey. Being a part of the excitement when someone gets a house under contract, or finally gets to the closing table on a difficult transaction, makes it all worth it. I love seeing people truly happy and feeling fulfilled.
I have the best family and friends that are always there to cheer me on and support me, no matter what. I also must say, I have the two cutest and sweetest doodles. Anyone that meets them, wants to take them home. But, the most important things in my life are my two children. They have no idea how blessed I am to be their mom. I can’t imagine there is a tighter bond than what the three of us share. They are my reason for everything I do!
How did you come to understand your inner beauty?
Life seems to throw us curve balls. I think I have probably been thrown more than the average woman out there, but I never let it affect me negatively (at least not for long). People are going to gossip and there is nothing you can do about that. Most of the time, they don’t even know what they are talking about, but they still talk. Rather than letting people, circumstances or life’s curve balls define who I was, I used those circumstances to evaluate myself and look at who I am on the inside. I realized I was beautiful on the inside and that started to show on the outside as well. The scars I carried on the inside started to fade and the scars I carry on the outside didn’t seem to matter anymore. I was more confident in my own skin, and in myself as a woman. From that point forward, I started to feel better about myself, both inside and outside. What someone thinks of you, especially if they don’t know you, has no bearing on who you are. You can’t decide what other people say or do. You can only decide how you react to it. Don’t let them determine your self-worth or your inner beauty. Be confident in the beautiful woman that God created you to be!
Tell us about your experience with the photoshoot.
This was the third time I have worked with Brandi. This photoshoot was by far THE BEST! I went in without expectations and told her I was up for anything. We let loose, we laughed, and we just had fun with it!!!
When Brandi explained her inspiration behind this project, I was totally on board! It was an honor to be selected as a woman to help other women as BOLD BEAUTIFUL + PERFECT. I truly believe women should empower other women!
