My name is Dr. Aimee Clute.
I’m a wife, mother, grandmother, co-pastor, conference host, gospel music artist, and best selling author. Those are all titles, positions, and things that I do. But Psalm 51:5 says that we are shapen in iniquity. In other words, through our triumphs and our failures, we are molded into the person that God desires us to be. I’d love to say that I had it all together at 25. But the truth is, living under a microscope as a young pastor’s wife and acting as caregiver to my terminally ill husband while facing my own physical issues hasn’t been easy. Those were all places I found God — God showed me who I was in him. Every test revealed attributes in my character that have made me who I am today. As a result, I am able to look beyond any flaw I see with my natural eye. Instead, I see an overcomer, a victor, and I see strength. But more than anything, I strive to be like Jesus. Our physical bodies may fail us, but Jesus will never fail. I’m now 51 years old and I feel as if I’m just getting started.
I really enjoyed the photoshoot with Brandi. She knows just how to capture the beauty of a person. With every pose and every angle, she made me feel confident and in charge.
This photoshoot had to be just right. I was heading into a new season in my career, and I wanted these photos to convey the new place that I was in.
To be selected as a part of the BOLD BEAUTIFUL + PERFECT global project was so very exciting. So many try to hide their age, but I am proud of mine. I encourage all women to embrace the season of life that they are in. You are never too young or too old to learn, and life is full of lessons that make us who we are today.
