Tell us about yourself, Jamie!

I am a wife, a mother of 5 beautiful children, a daughter, a sister, and a small business owner. In my free time, I enjoying painting and getting in tune with my artistic side so much that I have used my art to create an income with my business GEAUX WESTBANK. By following my passion for art, I am able to live a life that allows me to be flexible with my time to accommodate to my husband and children. I am a firm believer in family first, so when the opportunity presented itself to start up this small business it was a no brainer to leave the corporate world behind. With such a large immediate family, we are always doing something, whether it be sports or vacation or quality time with each other.

I met my husband 7 years ago at a burglar alarm. He was the responding officer and I was the manager on duty. We have been inseparable since then!

 

 

How did you come to understand your inner beauty?

For the longest, I felt like I needed to ensure everyone around me was happy and taken care of. Often that led to putting myself last. As a mother and wife, that’s not a bad thing; I just had to learn to find a healthy balance. I can whole heartedly say that without my husband’s encouragement and motivation, I never would have discovered my inner beauty and self worth. He tells me 20+ times a day how beautiful I am. Believe it or not, that matters. A healthy relationship is the key to being happy with yourself! Inner beauty is more that just a pretty face; it’s much deeper than that. It’s feeling good about who you are. It’s being proud of who you are even on your worse days. It’s knowing who you are, accepting your flaws, and wearing them with pride. It’s finding your partner in life who adores you, motivates you, and lifts you up to become the absolute best version of yourself. Inner beauty is having confidence in how you walk, talk and present yourself. It’s about knowing who you truly are and loving that person to the fullest!

 

 

This project is all about inspiring women to see their beauty. What parts of your story can you share to help women to understand their own beauty?

Find confident within yourself. Think back to when you felt the most bada$$ and sexiest version of yourself. Bottle up that feeling and carry it on your shoulders. Society today says that women need to act and look a certain way; I say that’s not true by any means! Own who you are and wear it with pride. You will shine brighter that you ever though you could once you realize your beauty and your worth!

 

Tell us about your experience with the photo shoot.

Being a mother of 5, I often feel like I am put on the back burner. Being selected for the Bold Beautiful Perfect project was a “WOW” moment. I’m here and I’m being seen! To be selected made me feel like my voice mattered.

From the moment I walked into the studio, I felt a feeling of calmness, like that’s where I belonged at that moment. Kasper was so easy to talk to; he listened to my style and what I wanted for hair and makeup. Brandi was amazing. She made me feel comfortable and coaxed out a new level of confidence that was hiding! I left feeling amazing and absolutely beautiful! My husband kept complimenting me on how extra beautiful I was.

 

 

Anything else you’d like to share?

This whole experience was absolutely amazing! I was in complete awe when I received my photos! Thank you so much for helping to display and capture the inner beauty that I knew was there!
