Tell us about yourself, Suez!
First, I would like to give God the glory. He created me, and I’m still learning about this creation I call “me.” Growing up in a large family, I was the peacemaker, the quite one, the one that wanted to be accepted. Now at 60 years of age, I am the captain of my life, the trail blazer. If there is a road untraveled, I pray on it; if the universe gives me a green light, I’m going.
How did you come to understand your inner beauty?
I have never been vain or considered myself pretty. Only when I look at old photographs would I say to myself, “Oh you were cute back then.” At 40+ years of age I was diagnosed with vitiligo (depigmenation). Now nearly 20 years later, I’m growing to accept this total body change and embrace it.
Through trials and triumphs I have uncovered my inner strength and beauty. We are stronger then we know. God doesn’t bring us any burden greater than we can bear.
Tell us about your experience with the photo shoot.
The experience allowed me to open up and love “me” just as I am. It was therapy and opened me up to know that I can do anything that I put my mind to. I am thankful to be selected and praise God and His universe for leading me down this path.
