Tell us about yourself, Dawn!
I am so many things… a woman, wife, mother, friend, and nurse… just to name a few! It’s difficult to limit myself because there is so much to accomplish and learn in this lifetime. Each person I am privileged to meet allows me to learn yet another side of my heart and psyche.
What can you share to help women to understand their own beauty?
Give yourself grace. Stop comparing yourself to others. Embrace aging because it is the sum of your life experiences which makes you unique. Aging does not guarantee wisdom, so pursue wisdom always.
Tell us about your experience with the photoshoot?
This photo shoot was definitely a new experience and provided a moment in time where I could follow someone’s lead to enhance what I feel inside. I felt privileged and unbelievably fortunate.
I believe every event in my life can be a gift which brings me something I’ve never had before. I was educated on makeup, posing, photography, and lighting. It was a new world in which I was able to explore. It was also great fun meeting wonderful, talented people!

Wear a formal dress to cook. Use your best China. Drink a good glass of champagne just because it’s raining. Wear your best jewelry to watch a movie on your sofa. Wear your high heels while reading a book. Voice your opinion when you’re afraid to be seen. Face your fears and inadequacies. Be your own boss. Hold your power which is your inner strength. This is the epitome of outward beauty.
