Tell us about yourself, Tami!
For the past 30 years, I have worked in the front office. I was the first person you would see as you enter the building–the face of the company, in a sense. It meant I always had to look, feel and act my best. However, I didn’t always start the day feeling particularly confident. I found that the act of selecting an outfit, putting on make up, and styling my hair would give me the boost of confidence I needed. I would look in the mirror and think, “I look pretty good today.” I was ready to get to my job.
How did you come to understand your inner beauty?
As the face of the company, I was recognized, complimented, and respected for the position I held. People noticed me in a positive way. Over time, I realized that when I was smiling and feeling good, I could engage in positive conservations with clients.
At 59 years old, I know now that starting out my day feeling good about myself exudes a positive energy to others and promotes my inner beauty. Positivity and confidence has become a habit for me. I feel and embrace my inner beauty!
What parts of your story can you share to help women to understand their own beauty?
You have to feel your inner beauty in order to find it. I believe it comes from the way you live and the people you associate with. The power of positivity is so great. People gravitate towards positive people. When you’re negative, positive people move away from you. Being in a positive atmosphere, after a while, you cannot help but be positive along with others. Once you embrace your new positive lifestyle, you’ll begin to find your own confidence, direction, and inner beauty. You will begin to feel the difference in yourself and how you feel about YOU.
Tell us about your experience with the photoshoot?
I had a wonderful experience. When I arrived for the shoot, Brandi welcomed me with open arms. Heather, the makeup artist, was so kind and personable. I felt beautiful. Brandi made it fun and smiled the whole time. I loved every second!
