Stephanie’s story:
This Bible verse has always brought me peace, letting me know that God truly has gone before me to pave the way.
“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you a hope and a future.” Jeremiah 29:11
What are some of the rewarding parts of the current decade you are in? The challenges?
The most rewarding part of this decade is seeing my niece and nephews growing up to become their own people. I’m their biggest cheerleader!
What has been your favorite decade you have lived through and why?
I’ve loved every decade I’ve lived through. They have all been so wonderful, each with their struggles, heartbreaks and happiness.
If given the opportunity, what would you do differently?
If I had the opportunity, I wouldn’t change a thing! With each decade, I’ve lived and loved and been the best I could be with the help of God, my family and friends.
What was your top life lesson that you’ve never forgotten and have lived by?
God will never leave me or forsake me. He promises that in His Word, Hebrews 13:5.
What has bought you the most joy in your life?
Being a wife, sister, daughter and aunt has brought me the most joy in life. My family is everything to me.
Second to that would be my teaching career, spanning 27 years thus far. It’s wonderful knowing you are impacting the next generation. I’m friends with so many of my former students. They have their own lives and children now, but I love hearing from them and seeing them from time to time. I’m so very blessed. Their successes are mine, too.
What was your experience like working with Brandi Stage Portraiture as a part of the 40 Over 40 Project?
This experience was amazing! Brandi made it very easy to feel at home in front of the camera. She is a true professional.
